With my friend Tomaz Percic we won 2-person team RAAM 2008! I have to apologise for not being able to follow the race through Internet. Due to a limited budget we had only a seven person crew, that could hardly keep up with us, let alone try to find time, place, signal or internet conection.
RAS, RAS, RAS… More then half of April I was wondering whether I will be able to start in the biggest ultra-cycling race in Europe – Race Around Slovenia (RAS). The knee injury has taken the first half of April and the second half was filled with therapies and not really the »real« training (not of the intensivity I would normally do before such a big race). Fortunatelly the pain went away at the exactly right time for me to decide that I will go to RAS 2008, no matter what the outcome will be.
I decided to do RAAM 2008 as part of 2-person relay team with my friend Tomaz Percic. We are looking for TIME STATION SPONSORS to help us with the RAAM expenses.
With help of my crew chef Andrej Petrovič we created a documentary
about my three RAAM attempts. We are preparing an english version which
will be available soon. The cover looks like this:
On Saturday January 19th, 2008 the third Annual 12h Spinning for a
Charity in Sports Center MILLENIUM was held. Again, its proceeds are
going to Asthma & Sport organisation, who are going to spend it for
paying the summer vacation for children with asthma.
A friend has asked me an interesting question (considering he is
(almost) always listening to me whining about having to little time to
train with work & family commitments) – how much time do I really
have for training? So, I played with numbers a bit and here is what I
came up with…
I wish to all of my friends, fans and visitors of my website a
succesful new year 2008! To all of you cyclists I wish a lot of fun on
your bikes and to those who aren't (yet) cycling I wish you to
recognize that cycling is beautiful and join us.
