RAAM 2003 has started. 18,000 spectators cheered as 18 bicyclists started pedaling toward Atlantic City. The race began at 7.00 a.m. local time or 10.00 a.m. Eastern which is also the official time zone for this race. Just before the start Marko was intervied for an American TV station and had this to say, "This is the day when I feel my absolute best because the race has finally started."
